How to put a Hyperlink in your TpT Product Description {Tried it Tuesday}

Hopefully today I am going to share something with you that you can use to promote more of your Teachers Pay Teachers products ON TpT!

I had seen hyperlinks in other sellers descriptions of their TpT products, either to their blog or to other TpT products that might have the same theme.  I was always wondering how to do this, I googled it but couldn't really find a definite help, so I just tried this, and it worked!

It's very simple.  The short of it is: if you know how to put a link back to your blog in a comment you leave on a blog post, then you know how to make a hyperlink for TpT, too!  (Hooray!)

It's the same HTML code, and you just insert it right into the TpT product description.

Here is the code:  <a href="http://HERE IS THE HTTP ADDRESS FOR YOUR PRODUCT" target="_blank">HERE IS THE NAME OF YOUR PRODUCT</a><br />

But, if you are like me, you'd like instructions on how to do this with pictures.  So, here you go friends!!

I recently posted some new background papers that I made, and I wanted to link the other clipart and background papers that Stacia had made to these papers, as well, so people would see we have more options for clipart.  So, here is how I linked them.

First, I uploaded my product and wrote the description.

I went into my blog and started a new post (don't worry, you can delete it later or save it if you plan on linking up to another product).

I know that I could just put the code straight into the TpT description, but HTML code is a little scary to me so I'd rather type it all out and then link it up so I know it's right!!

So, I am finished typing everything in COMPOSE and everything is linked.  Now I switch to HTML in the blog post.

(Yikes, scary code!!  It's ok!!  It's not so bad!)

You may not have that code for a signature there so it may make it easier.  If you do have a signature code here, you can see where I hit enter so it says <br /> for break (I think) so I knew once I got to that, I should stop highlighting!

Now the fun part!  Paste it into your TpT description!!

Whoop whoop!  It's pasted!!!  Cha-ching!

Finish typing anything else you want it to say in the description underneath the links (perhaps link your blog, etc.)!

Once you've done that, click submit (and wait for it all to load), and you are done!
